Hero Go Home

So the redesign is moving faster than I expected. The official launch date is Sunday, August 1. The full Chapter One will post on that date, with another chapter posting that Friday.

Now that the design work is mostly done, I’ve got to start churning out content.

Oh, and I might as well give a plug to Dreamhost while I’m at it. I’m not a guy who calls on support very often. Not that I’m that good, but I’m that shy and worried about looking stupid. Also because tech support is often a painful process.

But in putting the relaunch together, I’ve had to make use of Dreamhost’s live chat support a couple of times, and the process was quite painless. My questions were answered, my issues handled. Granted, my problems weren’t really hard ones, but I’m happy with the support I got. Having done that job briefly, I know how thankless it usually is, so I’m here to say, “thanks.”

The old strips are gone, you can see, though the old posts remain. Expect the look of the page to evolve as I work through the various aspects of the relaunch.

It’s obvious that the webcomic is defunct and not coming back. But Hero Go Home is not finished yet. In approximately two weeks, get ready for the new Hero Go Home.

Updating a little late in the day again, but I think I’m starting to find the right balance as far as how much time I need to invest to get each day’s strip done. Now I just need to find the time and motivation to get worked ahead again.

BTW, Conestoga was fun.

Conestoga starts tomorrow. It will probably be the only convention I attend this year. I’m going to try to have Monday’s update up on time, although it might be a few hours late, simply because the convention will steal a lot of time.
